With Prisoners

After getting into a bar fight with an off-duty police officer, wannabe gangster Fan (played by Neo Yau, known for his role in Fire Lee’s eccentric film Robbery) is given a three-month sentence in a juvenile detention facility similar to Hong Kong’s Sha Tsui Detention Center. This center is known for its military-style rehabilitation program. The treatment there is characterized by verbal insults and mistreatment, administered by the disillusioned and uninterested staff, although there are a few guards who still genuinely believe in the system.
