Toad’s Oil

The Yazawa family is made up of Takuro, the father, who is constantly engaged in day trading, his charming wife Erumi, and their teenage son Tetsuya, who aspires to be an astronaut. Joining them is Saburo Akiba, a well-meaning teenager who has just been released from a juvenile detention center. The story takes a dramatic turn when Tetsuya ends up in a coma following a car accident. This incident triggers a series of events, beginning with Takuro answering a phone call from an unsuspecting girl named Hikari, during which he pretends to be his son, Tetsuya.
