Time and the Wind

Based on Érico Verissimo’s trilogy of novels, The Time and the Wind chronicles a century and a half of the saga of the Terra Cambará family and their rivals, the Amaral family. The conflict between these two clans starts in the mission settlements and continues until the late 1800s. The film also depicts the establishment of the state of Rio Grande do Sul and the territorial conflict between the Portuguese and Spanish empires.
