The Winter War

In late November 1939, Russia launched an assault on Finland. This movie narrates the tale of a group of Finnish reservists from Kauhava, a town in the Pohjanmaa/Ostrobothnia region, as they depart from their homes to join the war effort. The story centers on the Hakala brothers, Martti and Paavo, who are farmers.
