The Toxic Avenger

In “The Toxic Avenger,” directed by Lloyd Kaufman, a meek and bullied janitor named Melvin is transformed into a hideously deformed superhero after falling into a vat of toxic waste. As the Toxic Avenger, he uses his newfound strength and grotesque appearance to fight crime and corruption in the fictional town of Tromaville, becoming an unlikely hero in the process.
