The Sacred

Following the triumph of her debut horror novel, Jessie is celebrated in literary circles as the next Stephen King. Her editor eagerly anticipates her follow-up work, but Jessie is grappling with writer’s block. Fearing she might become a one-hit wonder, she decides to seek inspiration at her late aunt’s secluded cabin in the woods. Having not been there for many years, Jessie has no recollection of her childhood summers spent at the cabin or in the nearby forest. However, on her first night alone, as darkness envelops the cabin, her memories start to resurface. A sinister presence lingers there, seemingly observing Jessie’s every move, a presence she has always feared. A sequence of strange, erotic, and frightening events unfolds, compelling Jessie to question her grasp on reality.
