The Reckoning

Following the devastation of the Great Plague and during the intense witch-hunts targeting women, a young widow struggles with the sorrow of losing her husband in a society overwhelmed by terror and mortality. After spurning her landlord’s romantic pursuits, she is wrongfully charged with witchcraft and imprisoned for a crime she did not commit. She must withstand brutal treatment from England’s most merciless witch-hunter and confront her own psychological battles as the devil begins to infiltrate her thoughts.
