The Peasants

Jagna, a young woman from a rural background, is compelled to wed Boryna, a prosperous farmer significantly her senior, even though her heart belongs to his son, Antek. As time passes, Jagna becomes the target of jealousy and scorn among the villagers, and she must struggle to maintain her autonomy.
