The Pagan Queen
A provocative film exploring the decline of ancient pagan traditions in central Europe, THE PAGAN QUEEN draws inspiration from the Czech legend of Libuse, the Slavic ruler of 8th century Bohemia. Endowed with mystical abilities, Libuse was a visionary and prophetess who foresaw the future and established the modern city of Prague during a period of significant cultural transformation. She governed the regional tribes alongside her two stunning sisters, Kazi and Teta, and led an army of women commanded by her closest ally, the Amazon Vlasta. When their peaceful agrarian society faces threats from invaders and becomes divided by power-hungry landowners, Libuse is compelled by her own people to enter into marriage.
