The Giver

In “The Giver,” directed by Phillip Noyce, a young boy named Jonas lives in a seemingly utopian society devoid of pain and suffering, where he is chosen to inherit the position of Receiver of Memories. As he learns from The Giver, the sole keeper of the community’s memories, Jonas discovers the dark truths behind his world’s facade and must make a life-altering decision.
