The Gingerbread Man

Savannah attorney Rick Magruder is celebrating a legal win for defending a cop killer at a party when Mallory Doss, a caterer, realizes her car has been stolen. After having a few drinks, Magruder offers her a ride home, which leads to a one-night affair. Rick soon discovers that Mallory’s unstable father, Dixon, has started threatening her again. Despite barely knowing her, Rick uses his law firm’s resources to support Mallory, arranging for Dixon to be detained by the police and summoning her aggressive ex-husband, Pete, to testify against him. Dixon is committed to a mental institution but soon escapes, endangering the lives of those who acted against him.
