The Founding of an Army

“The Founding of an Army” is a historical film from China, produced by Han Sanping and directed by Andrew Lau. It serves as the third part of the trilogy about the establishment of New China, following “The Founding of a Republic” (2009) and “The Founding of a Party” (2011). The movie boasts an ensemble cast of prominent Chinese actors. It premiered on July 28, 2017, in commemoration of the 90th anniversary of the People’s Liberation Army’s establishment.
