The Escape

Julia enjoys a stable career and shares two children with her attentive partner, Paul. However, antidepressants are tucked away in the kitchen drawer, hinting at her inner struggles. In her youth, she had envisioned a different life, often dreaming about it with her brother, Jimmy. Although two decades have passed since their heartbreaking goodbye, the memory still haunts her. Following an argument with Paul, Julia opts for a drastic change in her life. Inspired by Jimmy, she heads to the Algarve in Portugal. There, as she becomes acquainted with the enigmatic gigolo, Romeo, her past begins to resurface more vividly than ever.
