A well-regarded documentary filmmaker learns from a friend that his persistent depression improved after viewing a video called “Food Matters” and adhering to a nutritional regimen that includes high doses of vitamins, as recommended by Andrew W. Saul, a speaker featured in the film. Intrigued, the filmmaker, Beatie, meets with Saul, who introduces him to Orthomolecular Medicine, a treatment approach developed by Nobel laureates and distinguished scientists.
