Teorie tygra
The turning point for Jan’s decision comes with the self-chosen death of his father-in-law, who had exhausted his strength and patience. It was Grandma who dictated the terms of Grandpa’s life, his twilight years, and even his funeral arrangements. Jan is convinced that he and his wife Olga are headed down the same path. Reflecting on his past, when he had his own ambitions and desires, he yearns to reclaim his life with dignity and autonomy. He desperately wants to regain control over his own destiny. His answer lies in escaping his current existence. The film simultaneously explores the lives of Jan’s married daughters, Olinka and Alenka, along with their husbands, Erik and Pepík.
