Sweet Dreams

In 1969 Turin, the peaceful childhood of nine-year-old Massimo is abruptly disrupted by the enigmatic passing of his mother. Despite the priest’s assurances that she is in Heaven, the young Massimo struggles to come to terms with this harsh reality. Fast forward to the 1990s, and Massimo has established himself as a successful journalist. However, after covering the conflict in Sarajevo, he starts experiencing panic attacks. As he gets ready to sell his parents’ home, Massimo is compelled to face the haunting memories of his past. A compassionate doctor named Elisa might be the key to helping him confront and heal from his childhood traumas.
