Mungo Morrison, a young mole, is expected to join his proud father in working at their town’s famous gold mine. While his friends are thrilled about the prospect, Mungo harbors a secret ambition to become a professional football player. However, fearing his father’s disappointment and hindered by his small size and sensitivity to bright light, Mungo reluctantly accepts his fate as a miner. The situation takes a turn when a mysterious accident forces the mine to close, and a sinister, gold-obsessed villain known as ‘The Boss’ tries to coerce the townspeople into selling the mine to him. Defying the odds and with some quirky assistance from his friends, Mungo embarks on a thrilling and humorous adventure filled with action and danger, leading him to the Wild Cup football finals in Russia and an exhilarating final confrontation with ‘The Boss.’
