Songwriter

Doc Jenkins, a singer and songwriter, attempts to transition from his musical roots to become a music industry “mogul,” but finds himself ensnared in an unfavorable publishing contract. To extricate himself, he gathers a group of allies, including a budding singer and his old singing partner, Blackie Buck. Together, they devise a strategy to escape the deal. Along the way, they receive assistance from a typical small-scale concert promoter. Honey Carder, who is both his love interest and ex-wife, also plays a role in the story.
