A woman suffering from kidney disease, played by Lynn Whitfield, discovers the mysterious ways of divine intervention. She persuades her son, portrayed by Michael Jai White, to assist a remorseful former convict, played by Byron Minns. The ex-con’s unforeseen arrival leads to a surprising confession on her deathbed.
