Smartass

Inspired by real-life events, the story follows Freddie, a 15-year-old who has fled from home and finds herself deeply immersed in the notorious “Murder City” of California after being let out of jail just before midnight. With an almost comical level of self-sufficiency, no money, and 120 miles separating her from her friends, she must rely solely on her cleverness and youthful allure to navigate her new reality.
