In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, Gabe Recolte, a handyman and blues singer-songwriter from New Orleans, found himself devastated. Homeless and with a heavy heart, he was compelled to leave the city and find a new place to live, unable to express his feelings to Hattie, the club owner he deeply cares for.
