Young Drunk Punk
In the gritty backstreets of Calgary, Alberta, during the 1980s, Ian McKay and his closest friend Shinky are two rebellious youths on a quest to discover their true paths. Together, they confront a colorful array of characters, from cowboys and oil tycoons to hockey brawlers and film elitists, as well as odd-job workers and hairstylists. Throughout their adventures, they strive to mature without compromising their ideals.
Supported by Ian’s imperfect yet caring family—his father Lloyd, mother Helen, and his vivacious sister Belinda—Ian and Shinky seize every chance to challenge conventions. Each week, they unleash their unique brand of quirky rebellion, aiming to find love and make a difference in the world, one young, inebriated punk at a time.
