The Federal Justice Department, aiming to maintain a facade of inclusivity and cooperation, takes over the Tribal Police Force responsible for the four Indian Reserves encircling the city. Acting Tribal Chief Samantha Woodburn faces the dual challenge of cutting through bureaucratic obstacles and earning respect within the predominantly white, male-dominated Metro Police. Thrown into a new and challenging environment, she must maneuver through political intricacies and procedural hurdles while contending with her new partner, Chuck “Buke” Bukansky, a veteran Metro Police detective who is past his prime.
