Dr. Eva Fletcher has recently been appointed as the President of the fictional Georgia A&M University. As she steps into her new role, she faces the daunting task of rescuing the esteemed historically black college from financial ruin. Simultaneously, she must navigate the challenges of a faltering twenty-year marriage and a strained relationship with her defiant teenage daughter. Adding to her already full plate, a varied group of first-year students ensures that Eva’s responsibilities are anything but light.
