“The Hollow Crown” is a collection of British TV films that bring to life William Shakespeare’s historical plays.
The first season adapts Shakespeare’s second historical series, known as the Henriad, which includes “Richard II,” “Henry IV, Part I,” “Henry IV, Part II” (presented as a single film in two parts), and “Henry V.”
The second season, titled “The Wars of the Roses,” covers Shakespeare’s first historical series. This includes “Henry VI: Part I,” “Henry VI: Part II,” “Henry VI: Part III” (split into two films for the series), and “Richard III.”
