After a particle accelerator mishap triggers an unusual storm, CSI Investigator Barry Allen is struck by lightning and slips into a coma. When he awakens months later, he discovers he has gained the extraordinary ability to move at superhuman speeds, allowing him to traverse Central City like an invisible protector.
