Still the King

Vernon Brownmule, also known as “Burnin’ Vernon,” is a disgraced former country music star who had a brief moment of fame before being ousted from the industry. Two decades later, he resurfaces as a top-tier Elvis impersonator. After a drunken escapade leads him to crash into a sign at an old country church, he is arrested and given a parole condition to work as the church’s handyman. During his time there, he masquerades as the new minister for the congregation and reconnects with a past fling, discovering he has a 15-year-old daughter he never knew about.
