Prominent Los Angeles defense lawyer Sebastian Stark grows disenchanted with his profession following a case where his successful defense of a man accused of domestic violence leads to the tragic death of the man’s wife. After spending over a month grappling with his conscience, Stark receives an offer from the Los Angeles district attorney to switch sides and work as a public prosecutor. This new role would allow him to use his unconventional yet effective skills to ensure that the guilty are incarcerated rather than freed.
