“Sabrina, the Teenage Witch” is a U.S. sitcom inspired by the Archie comic series of the same title. It debuted on ABC on September 27, 1996, attracting over 17 million viewers as part of the “T.G.I.F.” lineup.
The series features Melissa Joan Hart as Sabrina Spellman, a teenage girl who learns she possesses magical abilities on her sixteenth birthday. She resides with her 600-year-old aunts, Hilda and Zelda, who are European witches, and their enchanted talking cat, Salem, in the fictional town of Westbridge, Massachusetts, for the majority of the show.
The sitcom’s initial four seasons were broadcast on ABC from September 27, 1996, to May 5, 2000, while the last three seasons aired on The WB from September 22, 2000, to April 24, 2003.
