The narrative follows Charles Ingram, an ex-major in the British army, who became embroiled in a significant controversy in the early 2000s. He was discovered to have deceitfully secured a £1 million prize on the television quiz show Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? Alongside his wife Diana and an accomplice named Tecwen Whittock, who was positioned in the audience, they initially succeeded in their televised scheme before being apprehended and brought to trial.
