Sam Loudermilk, a former alcoholic, now works as a counselor for those battling substance abuse. Despite his efforts to stay sober, he maintains a notoriously negative outlook on life, often offending those around him with his blunt and unfiltered demeanor. While he has managed to conquer his drinking habits, Loudermilk realizes that maintaining sobriety is just the beginning when the rest of his life remains in disarray.
