Las Vegas
“Las Vegas” is a television series that aired on NBC from September 22, 2003, to February 15, 2008. The show revolves around a group of employees at the fictional Montecito Resort & Casino, tackling various challenges in their work environment, from managing valet services and restaurants to ensuring casino security. Initially broadcast on Monday nights, NBC later shifted the series to Friday nights, first at 9 PM Eastern/8 PM Central, and then to 10 PM Eastern/9 PM Central. After a lengthy run of back-to-back episodes on weekdays, the show ended its syndication in the United States in July 2013, eventually being relegated to a 4 AM slot before being completely removed from TNT’s schedule.
The storyline initially focused on Ed Deline, a disciplined former CIA officer who transitioned from Head of Security to President of Operations at the Montecito, overseeing the casino’s daily functions. After Ed’s exit in Season 5, Danny McCoy, a former Marine and Ed’s protégé, took over as the new President of Operations at the Montecito.
The series came to an unexpected conclusion with a cliffhanger when NBC decided to cancel “Las Vegas” during the offseason following its fifth season.
