Kingpin
“Kingpin” is an American crime drama TV series that premiered on NBC in the United States and CTV in Canada on February 2, 2003, running for a total of six episodes. Positioned as NBC’s response to “The Sopranos” and drawing inspiration from “The Godfather,” “Macbeth,” and “Traffik,” the narrative centers around Miguel Cadena, a Mexican drug lord, and his family dynamics. Although there were intentions to develop it into a full series, these plans were scrapped due to low viewership. The mini-series was promoted on NBC with commercials featuring the song “Más” by the Mexican band Kinky.
