Kickin’ It

“Kickin’ It” is a comedy TV series with a martial arts theme that premiered on Disney XD on June 13, 2011. The show, created and executive produced by Jim O’Doherty, is rated TV-Y7. It centers around a karate instructor at a struggling martial arts academy, portrayed by Jason Earles, and his five unconventional students, played by Leo Howard, Dylan Riley Snyder, Mateo Arias, Olivia Holt, and Alex Christian Jones.

On September 20, 2011, Disney XD announced the renewal of the series for a second season, which began airing on April 2, 2012. Further, on November 5, 2012, Disney XD confirmed a third season, with production starting in January 2013 and the premiere on April 1, 2013. Notably, Alex Christian Jones did not return as a main cast member for this season. In August 2013, Disney XD ordered a fourth season, set to air in 2014. Olivia Holt will not be part of the fourth season’s cast as she is set to star in another Disney Channel series, “I Didn’t Do It.”
