Junior MasterChef Australia

Junior MasterChef Australia is a competitive cooking show from Australia, designed as a spin-off of MasterChef Australia, which itself is based on the British series MasterChef. This version features young chefs aged 8 to 12. The inaugural season started filming in July 2010, featuring 50 young contestants selected from over 5,000 applicants nationwide.

Judges Gary Mehigan and George Calombaris returned, joined by Anna Gare, while Matt Moran took over from Matt Preston. Callum Hann also participated in the series.

Unlike previous iterations, Junior MasterChef Australia is produced by Shine Australia. A promotional clip aired during the final episode of MasterChef Australia, and the series debuted on Sunday, September 12, 2010.
