Green Lantern: The Animated Series
Green Lantern: The Animated Series is a U.S. computer-animated TV show inspired by the DC Comics superhero, Green Lantern. It is currently broadcast on Cartoon Network as part of their “DC Nation” lineup. The series debuted with a one-hour preview on November 11, 2011, and continued to air weekly episodes until March 16, 2013. The premiere episode was also featured at New York Comic Con on October 15, 2011. This marks the first television series centered on Green Lantern and the inaugural CGI series from DC/WB. Unfortunately, the show was discontinued after just one season due to disappointing toy sales linked to the live-action film and Cartoon Network’s desire to focus on new programs within the “DC Nation” segment.
