Fawlty Towers
“Fawlty Towers” is a British sitcom created by BBC Television, initially aired on BBC2 in 1975 and 1979, with a total of twelve episodes. The show was penned by John Cleese and his then-wife Connie Booth, who also played leading roles.
The narrative unfolds in Fawlty Towers, a fictional hotel located in the coastal town of Torquay, known as the “English Riviera.” The storyline revolves around the irritable and beleaguered hotel owner Basil Fawlty, his domineering wife Sybil, the relatively sane chambermaid Polly, and the bumbling Spanish waiter Manuel. Together, they navigate the challenges of managing the hotel amidst a series of comedic mishaps and a host of quirky and demanding guests.
