Crossbones

In 1715, on the Bahamian island of New Providence, the first operational democracy in the Americas emerges, where the infamous pirate Edward Teach, known as Blackbeard, rules over a rebellious community of thieves, outlaws, and unruly sailors. This unique locale, part ramshackle settlement and part pirate utopia, poses an increasing threat to global trade. To bring this formidable society under control, Tom Lowe, a highly trained covert assassin, is dispatched to the pirates’ stronghold to eliminate the ingenious and captivating Blackbeard. However, as Lowe delves deeper into his mission, he discovers that his task is far from straightforward. He finds himself drawn to Blackbeard’s political vision and insatiable quest for knowledge, which defies all laws. Yet, Lowe is not the only peril to Blackbeard’s dominion. Blackbeard faces numerous treacherous adversaries and harbors a significant vulnerability—a fiercely determined woman he cannot resist.
