Chowder
“Chowder” is an American animated TV show created by C.H. Greenblatt for Cartoon Network. The story centers on a young, aspiring chef named Chowder, who embarks on daily escapades as an apprentice at Mung Daal’s catering business. Despite his good intentions, Chowder’s insatiable hunger and scatterbrained nature often land him in trouble. Additionally, he is constantly bothered by Panini, the apprentice of Mung’s competitor Endive, who insists on making Chowder her “boyfriend,” much to his dismay. The series combines traditional animation with brief stop-motion puppet segments that are interspersed throughout the episodes and featured in the end credits.
“Chowder” debuted on November 2, 2007, and spanned three seasons with a total of 49 episodes. During its run, it won one Primetime Emmy Award, received six Annie Award nominations, and earned two more Emmy nominations. The series concluded with the episode “Chowder Grows Up” on August 7, 2010, in which C.H. Greenblatt provided the voice for the adult Chowder.
