Beast Wars: Transformers
Beast Wars: Transformers, known as Beasties: Transformers in Canada, is a Canadian computer-generated animated TV series that premiered in 1996, marking the beginning of the Transformers: Beast Wars franchise. This series acts as a continuation of the original Transformers universe, set in its future.
Produced by Canada’s Mainframe Entertainment, the series had Bob Forward and Larry DiTillio as its story editors. All three seasons are available on DVD in the United States and other Region 1 areas. In Australia, Madman Entertainment released the complete series in Region 4 format in 2006 to celebrate the show’s tenth anniversary. These box sets feature exclusive content, including commentaries and interviews with the voice cast.
Clyde Klotz, the show’s production designer, received a Daytime Emmy Award in 1997 for Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation for his work on Beast Wars.
