Chip Baskets aspires to become a French clown, but life continually throws obstacles in his path. Burdened by money troubles and unable to overcome a significant language barrier, he returns to his hometown of Bakersfield with renewed optimism. Once there, he must deal with his history while taking on the role of a rodeo clown and vying with his siblings for their mother’s love and recognition.
