Bakuman

Moritaka Mashiro, a junior high student who is satisfied with a typical life, is encouraged by his peer, Akito Takagi, to pursue a career as a mangaka after Akito recognizes his exceptional artistic skills. Despite this, Moritaka hesitates to follow his passion due to the fate of his uncle, a former mangaka who passed away from overexertion while trying to reclaim his former glory. With Akito’s assistance, they involve another classmate, Azuki Miho, who aspires to be a voice actress, to promise to voice a character in the anime adaptation of their future manga. In a surprising turn, Mashiro proposes to Azuki, who agrees to marry him, but only once they have both fulfilled their ambitions. Motivated by this promise, Mashiro embarks on a challenging journey to achieve success as a renowned mangaka.
