Back in the Game

Terry Gannon Jr., once a standout softball player, found her life taking unexpected turns with the arrival of a baby, the loss of her college scholarship, and a disappointing marriage. Deciding to start anew, she and her son Danny move in with her distant father, Terry Sr., known as “The Cannon.” He’s a former athlete with strong opinions and a fondness for beer, who never succeeded as a single parent or in his baseball career. When Terry hesitantly agrees to coach Danny and a team of other athletically-challenged kids, she is confronted by memories of her past.
