Atomic Betty
“Atomic Betty” is an animated science fantasy TV series originating from Canada and France, created by Atomic Cartoons, Breakthrough Films & Television, and Tele Images Kids. The production received additional financial support from Teletoon in Canada, as well as M6 and Télétoon in France. The show is currently broadcast on CITV. It made a return to U.S. television on The Hub starting October 10, 2010, after previously being shown on Cartoon Network from September 2004 to December 2005, where it was part of the Cartoon Cartoon lineup. The final episode of the series was aired on January 29, 2008, on the Canadian channel Teletoon.
A follow-up series, “Atomic Betty Redux,” is in the planning stages. This sequel will feature Atomic Betty as a taller, more attractive seventeen-year-old teenager, who is also a more formidable and powerful superheroine/Galactic Guardian than in the original series. The release is anticipated between late 2013 and mid-2014.
