“Alaska State Troopers” is an American documentary series that delves into the everyday activities of different divisions within the Alaska State Troopers. The program also highlights the work of village public safety officers in small rural communities, as well as officers from cities like Wasilla, Palmer, Anchorage, and Soldotna. It showcases the adventures of various officers from across the state, including James and Anne Sears, Howie Peterson, Jon Simeon, Brent Johnson, Scott Quist, Odean Hall, Lonny Piscoya, Luis Nieves, Dan Dahl, Rick Roberts, Abraham Garcia, Dan Cox, Gabe Rich, Jonathan Stroebele, Joshua Varys, Daron Cooper, Lance Ewers, and Kamau Leigh. In 2011, a litter of Blue Heeler puppies was left anonymously at a Kentucky dog shelter. The male puppies were named “Trooper Dan Dahl” and “Trooper Howie Peterson” after the show’s featured troopers, while the female puppies were named after Troopers Aileen Witrosky, Amy Bowen, and Anne Sears, who have also appeared on the series.
