A.N.T. Farm

A.N.T. Farm is a sitcom from Disney Channel that debuted with a special preview on May 6, 2011, and began its regular run on June 17, 2011. The initial episode, titled “transplANTed,” was broadcast following the conclusion of The Suite Life on Deck. The show was conceived by Dan Signer, who previously worked as a writer and co-executive producer for The Suite Life on Deck and also created the Disney XD series Mr. Young. Disney Channel approved the series in mid-November 2010, with filming starting in early 2011. The first promotional material was unveiled during the premiere of Lemonade Mouth.

Set in San Francisco, the show features China Anne McClain, Sierra McCormick, and Jake Short as middle school students enrolled in a special high school program for gifted individuals known as the “Advanced Natural Talent” or “A.N.T.” program.

On November 30, 2011, Disney Channel confirmed a second season for A.N.T. Farm, which launched on June 1, 2012, with two consecutive episodes. The series was renewed for a third season on October 2, 2012, premiering on May 31, 2013, with a one-hour special. However, it was announced that Carlon Jeffery would not return for the third season, and Aedin Mincks was added to the main cast.
