Secret Summer

Rachel, an appraiser played by Lindsey Shaw, is informed that her prestigious client intends to purchase a cherished small-town library to construct a resort and spa on the site. Although Rachel is firmly opposed to leaving New York City, she is overruled by her boss. Reluctantly, she travels to California. On her initial visit to the library, she encounters Jake, portrayed by Derek Theler, a writer delving into the legend of Captain Black Bart’s hidden treasures for his upcoming book. Mrs. Archer, the librarian played by Rachel Ticotin, encourages Jake to demonstrate to Rachel the library’s significance to the community in hopes of preserving it. Despite being busy with his research and looking after his niece, Hailey (Chiara Aurelia), and nephew, Noah (Max Page), for the summer, Jake agrees to assist. As Rachel discovers the library’s importance to the town, she must devise a plan to save it before it’s too late.
