Second Chance

On a typical summer morning at “Outstanding Pool House,” Shine prepares for school. She is a stylish and attractive young girl, but her face carries a hint of sadness. Six months prior, her parents perished in a tragic car accident, leaving her with nothing but this pool house. Now, Shine faces the possibility of being placed in foster care unless a family member steps in to look after her. Her uncle Feng, a former billiards expert, is aware of her situation and decides to return home to care for his niece. However, Shine is not pleased with this arrangement, as she barely knows her uncle. Furthermore, Feng, who lost everything to gambling, spends his days drinking and smoking—habits that Shine despises.
