Nick DeMarco, a minor con artist, is compelled by his parole officer to accept a low-paying position as a department store Santa during the holiday season, a job he despises. As his initial shift concludes, he impulsively assures a young boy named Billy that Santa will reunite his separated parents by Christmas. Determined to fulfill this promise, Nick embarks on a mission to make it happen. However, after encountering Billy’s mother, Carol, Nick faces a dilemma: will he prioritize the joy of others over his own desires?
