Sami Blood

“Sami Blood,” directed by Amanda Kernell, follows the story of a young Sámi girl named Elle Marja who, in 1930s Sweden, faces discrimination and struggles with her identity while attending a Swedish boarding school. As she dreams of a different life, she is forced to confront the cultural and personal sacrifices required to assimilate into the dominant society.
